When Farmer Bob and I moved from the City to the Country we traded a lawn the size of a bathtub for a 14 acre one. Fourteen Acres is a lot of grass! Without animals to lend a hand, it is a lot of lawn to keep up with. A good friend of mine has some ponies and we had grass – it’s a match made in heaven!
Meet LuLu and Delhi. They are fantastic lawn mowers and they provide free fertiliser to boot!
Turning grass, something we don’t need and represents extra work for us, into fertiliser, something we do need and have to purchase for the garden, is a key step in making the farm self sufficient. They are also pretty darn cute and can be bribed with carrots.
